Early Booking Special - Save 10%

When you book a premium room for the 2013 Season you can save 10% on the cost of your stay at the Graycote - if you book early.

The following conditions apply:

• You must stay 4 or more nights in a premium room
• You must book well in advance:
  5 weeks in advance of arrival for High Season and Foliage Season
  4 weeks in advance of arrival for Spring, Late Summer, or Fall Seasons
• This special is available only at the time of booking

Quiet Season Special

Come after the crowds have gone and enjoy the beauty and serenity of Mt. Desert Island and Acadia National Park known to the “locals”. Hike, bicycle, x-country ski or snowshoe during the day. Return to a cozy fireplace in the parlor – or in your bedroom - at the Graycote. After dinner catch up on your recreational reading or a game or two of cribbage. Scrabble perhaps?

Stay two nights at the regular rate and have a third night at 50% off. Stay 6 nights and have one night free!

Habitat for Humanity Special

The Graycote Inn will offer our rooms at special Habitat for Humanity rates, the lowest rates of the year ($73 to $98 for rooms in the main inn) in exchange for a check payable to Habitat for Humanity in the amount of $35 or more per stay. Funds raised in this way will benefit the Maine chapters of Habitat for Humanity. For more details click here.

Extended Stay Special

Stay longer and save! If you can stay longer than a few nights you can not only enjoy more that Mt. Desert Island has to offer but you can also enjoy savings -

• Stay 6 nights and get 50% off the sixth night

Honeymoon Package

Bar Harbor is a wonderful locale for your honeymoon - or for your wedding and a honeymoon. Couples who come here for their honeymoon often return for an anniversary. We urge you to arrange a stay sufficiently long to both recuperate from the wedding excitement and enjoy the many activities Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park have to offer.

Your honeymoon package will vary depending upon the time of year.

Quiet Season (mid-October to Memorial Day Weekend)

Stay for 3 nights at the regular room rate and get the 4th night free. This can be doubled; that is you can stay 8 nights for the price of 6.

In addition to the special room rate we provide either a small bottle of champagne or a bottle of sparkling apple cider.

Spring, High, Late Summer, Foliage,  and Fall Seasons

For couples staying 4 or more nights we provide a $40 dinner coupon valid at selected Bar Harbor restaurants - restaurants ranging from nice neighborhood gathering places to the very finest dining spots.

In addition to the dinner coupon we provide, with our compliments, either a small bottle of champagne or a bottle of sparkling apple cider.

For stays of six or more nights we can provide a special room rate. Please inquire for details.

Bar Harbor is a wonderful place in which to celebrate that special occasion - an anniversary, engagement, or just a time to get away together to recapture that "special something". Downeast Windjammer Cruise Package

Stay 3 nights or more and take a spectacular 1-1/2 to 2 hour cruise in the sheltered waters of Frenchman Bay on the 151 foot schooner Margaret Todd. The Margaret Todd is the only 4-masted schooner to work New England waters in over half a century. Three cruises daily including the popular sunset cruise which often has live folk music, guitar, fiddle, or banjo music.

Lobster Fishing Package

Stay 3 nights or more and take a 2 hour ride on the Lulu Lobster Boat, a traditional lobster boat sailing from Bar Harbor. Cruise the sheltered waters of Frenchman Bay and enjoy sightseeing, lobster fishing, and the captain’s stories. Educational and fun!

Cost: Add $50 to the cost of your room for 2 adults; $44 for seniors and military; $24 for children

Nature Cruise Package

Stay 3 nights or more and see some of Mt. Desert Island’s wildlife from the Sea Princess sailing from Northeast Harbor: ospreys, seals, and many species of waterfowl. Learn about the Island’s geology and some of the local history. Go ashore on Little Cranberry Island and visit the Isleford Historical Museum.

Sea Kayaking Package

Whether you are an experienced kayaker or someone who wants to give this sport a try, this package offers you an opportunity to see Mt. Desert Island's scenery and wildlife from the waters of Frenchman Bay or Blue Hill Bay. With a stay of  3 or more nights at the Graycote this package will give you two tickets for a half-day kayaking tour with National Park Sea Kayak Tours, based in Bar Harbor.

Summer Theatre Package

Stay 3 nights or more and enjoy an evening of live professional theatre at the Acadia Repertory Theatre which will be celebrating its 38th season here on Mt. Desert Island. In their intimate performance space they have presented an impressive mix of comedies, dramas, mysteries and children's theatre. The theatre's relaxed and informal atmosphere provides the perfect ending to a day spent enjoying the delights of Mt. Desert Island.

Improv Theatre Package

Stay 3 nights or more and treat yourselves to an evening of fantastic comedy at ImprovAcadia presenting cutting-edge comedy 7 days a week. See the cast of Chicago's and New York's finest professional actors creating spontaneous scenes and songs from your suggestions. Great fun!

Music Festival Package

Stay 3 nights or more and take in a Bar Harbor Music Festival concert.

Variety is the key to the Bar Harbor Music Festival. Concertgoers can take in everything from string orchestra concerts, nights of jazz or brass, New Composers concerts, and even Opera! Venues are as varied as the musical menu: the Bar Harbor Congregational Church, known for its excellent acoustics; "Balance Rock Inn 1903" , the magnificent turn-of-the-century shorefront mansion; Blackwoods Campground Amphitheatre in Acadia National Park, and the amazing art-deco Criterion Theater in the heart of downtown Bar Harbor.

Chamber Music Festival Package

Stay 3 nights or more and enjoy and evening of chamber music during the 48th season of the Mt. Desert Festival of Chamber Music. The festival presents chamber music at its best in an intimate setting. Much of the aura, which is both informal and serious, is due to the ambiance of the Neighborhood House, whose fine acoustics and old world charm add much to the intimacy of communication upon which chamber music thrives.
